AC Milan are in talks over a loan move for Marcus Rashford

AC Milan is reportedly in advanced discussions with Manchester United over a potential loan move for Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window. Rashford’s representatives, including his brother and agent Dwaine Maynard, have already traveled to Italy to hold exploratory talks with the Serie A club.

The interest from AC Milan comes as Rashford has expressed his desire for a new challenge, having fallen out of favor at Manchester United under head coach Ruben Amorim. The English forward has not featured in United’s last few matches and has been left out of the squad due to what Amorim described as “low efforts in training”.

AC Milan, currently eighth in Serie A, has been struggling for goals this season and sees Rashford as a potential solution to their attacking woes. The club’s recent victory in the Italian Super Cup, with a stoppage-time winner from England international Tammy Abraham, has only heightened their ambition to secure Rashford’s services.

Manchester United is reportedly seeking a fee of £40 million for Rashford, along with a significant portion of his wages being subsidized by the Italian club. Rashford’s current contract with United runs until the summer of 2028, making a permanent deal unlikely at this stage.

Other clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Turkish side Galatasaray, have also expressed interest in Rashford, but the forward is prioritizing options within Europe’s top leagues. Rashford has turned down offers from Saudi Arabia and wishes to remain in Europe to further his England career.
