The highly anticipated nominees for the 2024 FIFA The Best Football Awards have been announced, highlighting the finest talents in global men’s and women’s football.
The football world is still abuzz following the recent 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony, where Rodri claimed the prestigious title, narrowly beating Vinícius Júnior in a hotly debated result. These two standout players are now set to compete once again for another esteemed honor at the FIFA The Best Football Awards, scheduled for January. They are among 11 nominees vying for the FIFA The Best Men’s Player award, which celebrates the top performer over the past year.
On the women’s side, Aitana Bonmatí, fresh off winning the 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or, leads a distinguished group of 16 contenders for the FIFA The Best Women’s Player award. The ceremony will also honor the best male and female coaches and goalkeepers.
