According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was aboard an EasyJet flight with teammate Diogo Dalot on Monday, heading to Lisbon to join the Portugal national team. During the flight, Fernandes noticed a man fainting at the rear of the plane. Without hesitation, he sprang into action, shouting, “Excuse me! We need help! Excuse me! We need help!”
Susanna Lawson, a fellow passenger, shared her account with *Business Cloud*, describing the moment: “Bruno had gone to the back of the plane to use the restroom when we suddenly heard someone calling for help. Those of us close by looked back, and crew members quickly rushed to assist. There was an empty seat at the back, and Bruno helped the man sit down. He stayed with him for about 5-10 minutes, ensuring he was okay before returning to his own seat. Bruno didn’t seek any attention; he was very humble about the whole situation.”
It’s been a busy period for the 30-year-old Fernandes, who has played four matches in less than two weeks for Manchester United. The team has experienced a resurgence following Erik ten Hag’s departure, with Ruud van Nistelrooy leading them to three wins and a draw in his short stint as interim manager.
Next, Fernandes will represent Portugal in the Nations League, facing Poland on Friday and Croatia on November 18 for their final group-stage match.
