Just days before the World Cup, Ronaldo became the first athlete to achieve a “Times Square takeover” — a rare honor further elevated by his Madame Tussauds wax figure reveal.

This impressive moment drew a lively crowd as Ronaldo delivered a personal message to his fans, broadcast by Visit Portugal, his homeland’s tourism agency, across several jumbotrons in the heart of New York City.

With Ronaldo leading the way, the crowd joined him in celebrating by striking his iconic “siuuuuu” pose.

Upon seeing his wax figure for the first time, Ronaldo was amazed, particularly by the figure’s resemblance, especially in the hair and eyes. “This is wax? Are you kidding?” Ronaldo exclaimed. “The face is unbelievable. Imagine two Ronaldos!”
