The English full-back was forced off the field in the 22nd minute of Liverpool’s Premier League match against Aston Villa on Saturday due to a suspected hamstring injury. Following the match, manager Arne Slot expressed concern over Alexander-Arnold’s condition and raised doubts about his availability for England’s upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

According to The Times, the defender has avoided a serious injury and could return to action for Liverpool after the international break. However, The Daily Mail suggests that the 26-year-old may miss the club’s upcoming matches against Southampton and Real Madrid on November 24 and 27, but he is expected to be fit for the important Premier League encounter against Manchester City on December 1.

Both reports agree that Alexander-Arnold will not be available for England’s upcoming international duty, as the Three Lions prepare for two Nations League games later this month.

It remains unclear whether Lee Carsley will call up a replacement for Alexander-Arnold. England will first face Greece on Thursday, followed by a match against Ireland, which will serve as the final game for England’s caretaker manager.
