On Wednesday morning, Balotelli shared a video on his Instagram story from the Genoa training ground’s canteen, featuring Sabelli wearing a t-shirt with the Italian translation of the famous phrase.
The original ‘Why Always Me?’ message made headlines when Balotelli revealed it on an undershirt after scoring the opening goal in a stunning 6-1 win over Manchester United during his time at Manchester City.
Balotelli, now 34, joined Genoa as a free agent last Monday, having been without a club since the end of the 2023-24 season, when he played for Adana Demirspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The former Italy international recently made his Serie A debut with Genoa, coming on as a late substitute in their 1-0 win away against Parma on Monday evening.
