Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham was reportedly displeased with the club’s support following the recent Ballon d’Or event. None of Real Madrid’s players attended the ceremony on Monday after learning that Vinicius Junior had lost the award to Manchester City’s Rodri. This absence drew significant criticism, with Vinicius receiving the brunt of the backlash.

Bellingham secured third place in the Ballon d’Or rankings, following Vinicius and Rodri, while teammates Dani Carvajal and Kylian Mbappe also made it into the top ten. According to Diario AS, Bellingham was disappointed that the club didn’t actively campaign for him in the Ballon d’Or race. Throughout last season, he was frequently seen as a favorite, especially after a standout season with Los Blancos and helping England reach the European Championship final in July.

The report further states that the England star was “miffed” that Real Madrid prioritized Vinicius’s campaign while seemingly overlooking his own contributions. Since Mbappe’s arrival, Bellingham’s goal tally has also taken a hit, as he has yet to score in 11 appearances this season.
