Liverpool FC has officially listed Jurgen Klopp’s former residence for sale, following the decision of new manager Arne Slot to decline the property. The luxurious seven-bedroom home, located in Formby, Merseyside, was initially identified by the club as an ideal base for incoming managers.
Slot and his wife Mirjam were shown the property but opted for alternative accommodations, prompting the club to end its 20-year association with the estate. Originally purchased by former captain Steven Gerrard in 2005, the house features an array of amenities, including three living rooms, a games room, a swimming pool, a two-storey gym, a solarium, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a cinema.
After Gerrard sold the home to then-manager Brendan Rodgers in 2015, Klopp rented it until Liverpool acquired it in 2019, allowing the German manager to live rent-free. Slot, who previously managed Feyenoord, has made a strong start at Anfield, winning 11 of his first 12 matches in charge.
