Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski has attracted interest from some of the world’s biggest football clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal. Despite multiple chances to move to the Premier League, Zielinski chose to make Italy his home.

After starting his Serie A career with Udinese in 2011, he joined Napoli in 2016, where he played 364 times and won the 2022/23 league title. Zielinski revealed that Bruno Fernandes encouraged him to move to Manchester United, and Liverpool even flew him in a private jet to meet Jurgen Klopp, who compared him to Ilkay Gundogan and Cesc Fabregas.

Despite interest from top clubs, including Arsenal and Barcelona, Zielinski stayed in Italy, joining Inter Milan in the summer of 2023. His loyalty to Napoli during their title-winning season was cemented by a conversation with Luciano Spalletti, convincing him to stay despite a £30 million offer from West Ham.
