Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, and James McAtee all got on the scoresheet as the English champions secured an easy win in Slovakia, earning them four points from their first two matches in this season’s competition.

City have now gone an incredible 25 matches unbeaten in the Champions League, with their last loss dating back to the 2021-22 season. The only other club to achieve a similar streak was Manchester United between 2007 and 2009.

In addition, Pep Guardiola has surpassed a record set by the iconic Sir Alex Ferguson. City have now recorded 13 wins with a margin of four or more goals under Guardiola in the Champions League, edging past Ferguson’s 12 during his time with Manchester United.

Guardiola’s squad will be aiming for back-to-back victories when they face Fulham in their upcoming Premier League clash on Saturday.
