Dele Alli is reportedly being targeted by Serie A side Genoa as the midfielder seeks a fresh start after a difficult few years. According to Il Secolo XIX, Genoa has inquired about Alli’s availability as he remains a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Everton in June.
The 28-year-old made just 13 appearances for the Toffees after a £5 million transfer from Tottenham and spent part of the 2022-23 season on loan at Besiktas, where injuries cut short his time in Turkey. Despite his struggles, Alli is determined to return to form and has set his sights on making England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The former England international acknowledges the challenges but remains focused on regaining his fitness and proving his ability. Alli recently stated, “I know my level… I have a reminder every day at 11 o’clock that says ‘World Cup 2026’.”
