Georgina Rodriguez opens up about her relief following Ronaldo’s United exit

In her Netflix reality show “I Am Georgina,” Georgina Rodriguez revealed that she felt a sense of relief when Cristiano Ronaldo announced his departure from Manchester United. The Portuguese superstar left the club by mutual consent in November 2022 and later signed with Al-Nassr.

Rodriguez expressed her desire to leave Manchester during Ronaldo’s second stint at the club, stating that she was “very happy” to move to Saudi Arabia, even though they initially had to stay in a hotel. According to the Daily Mail, the family resided in the luxurious Kingdom Suite, occupying two floors, while Ronaldo’s entourage took up 17 rooms.

She shared, “When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nassr, I felt so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester. I sensed that something great awaited us, and we were very motivated. Coming to Saudi Arabia made me really happy.

“It all happened so fast. At first, I had some challenges adjusting to living in a hotel for an extended period. There were days when I didn’t want anyone to see me, but overall, I was very excited.”

Ronaldo is set to play for Al-Nassr against Al-Hazm on Monday in the Round of 32 of the King Cup of Champions.
