Juventus captain Danilo may miss his team’s Serie A match against Verona this weekend due to a minor injury, according to Saturday’s reports.

The 33-year-old defender missed Thiago Motta’s training session at Continassa due to bruising on the heel of his left foot. He is scheduled for further medical evaluations at JMedical on Sunday to determine his availability for Monday night’s fixture.

Danilo was an unused substitute in Juve’s season opener, a 3-0 win over newly-promoted Como, where Andrea Cambiaso, who replaced him, scored the final goal in injury time. Additionally, Danilo came off the bench in Juventus’ recent pre-season defeat to Atletico Madrid in Sweden.
