Erik ten Hag’s team kicked off the 2024-25 Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over Fulham at Old Trafford, thanks to a debut goal from Joshua Zirkzee. Alejandro Garnacho had a chance to double the lead late in the game but missed a clear-cut opportunity from close range.
According to the Daily Mail, Garnacho, who returned early to Manchester United after the Copa America, has been putting in extra effort to recover from his missed chance. The Argentina international has been training at the NAS Elite Sports Performance Centre, a popular spot for Premier League players, which offers a range of services including physiotherapy, IV Drip Therapy, and nutritional support.
Although Garnacho didn’t score, he did assist Zirkzee’s decisive goal, making Zirkzee the fourth Dutch player to score on his Manchester United debut.
Garnacho will look to make amends this Saturday as Manchester United travels to Brighton, who won their season opener 3-0 against Everton.
