Arsenal have turned down a £25 million plus add-ons bid from Nottingham Forest for striker Eddie Nketiah. Discussions continue for the England international, who has dropped down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.

Nketiah had previously agreed personal terms with Marseille for a loan move, but negotiations collapsed as Arsenal insisted on at least £30 million. Crystal Palace has also shown interest in the 25-year-old. Despite selling Nketiah, Arsenal might not replace him with another central striker, as Arteta eyes an attacking wide man to compete with Bukayo Saka. Nketiah signed a five-year contract in June 2022 but started only ten Premier League games last season.

Arsenal have already earned £27 million plus £7 million in add-ons from Emile Smith Rowe’s sale to Fulham. Bournemouth is monitoring Nketiah as they seek a replacement for Dominic Solanke, who joined Tottenham. Nketiah, who joined Arsenal in 2015 from Chelsea, has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances.
