De Rossi also praised Matias Soulé’s performance, noting his increased aggression and willingness to take on opponents. “He’s young and still makes mistakes, but he brings a lot of quality and pace, which is exactly what we need.”
When asked if his halftime talk was a motivational speech or a tactical adjustment, De Rossi clarified, “The defensive movements improved, but we need to work more on advancing into the final third. I asked the team to be more direct to avoid getting caught in sideways passing.”
De Rossi addressed concerns about Dybala’s potential departure, saying, “I’ve already spoken enough about this. We’ll discuss the transfer market on September 1. If Paulo leaves and isn’t replaced by a suitable player, then I would be concerned. Otherwise, no.”

De Rossi commented on Dovbyk’s debut, “He struggled in the first half due to limited service, but he performed well after the break and almost scored. I’m confident he’ll score many goals.”
