Danilo provides an update after suffering a serious ankle injury

Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo has reassured fans after suffering a severe ankle break during his team’s 1-1 draw against Bournemouth. The 23-year-old landed awkwardly early in the match, causing the game to be temporarily halted. He was taken off the field, and Antoine Semenyo later equalized Chris Wood’s opener.

Danilo took to Instagram to update supporters, expressing gratitude for their well-wishes and confirming he is recovering at home. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo described the injury as serious and confirmed that Danilo would be out for an extended period, noting his positive influence both on and off the pitch.

Danilo joined Forest in January 2023 and has since made 50 appearances, scoring six goals and providing four assists. He is currently under contract until 2029. Despite his injury, the Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag’s side reportedly expressing interest.
