Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has reportedly made his decision to join Napoli, following significant transfer speculation this summer. Both Galatasaray and Fulham saw their bids rejected for the Scottish international, with United holding firm on their £25 million asking price.
Galatasaray’s £12 million offer and Fulham’s £20 million bid were turned down by United, who remain determined to secure a higher fee for McTominay. According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, Napoli has now emerged as the player’s preferred destination. Napoli chiefs have already entered into negotiations with McTominay’s representatives, and talks are ongoing.
The Serie A champions are also in discussions to acquire Brighton midfielder Billy Gilmour, McTominay’s international teammate, and could potentially sign Romelu Lukaku if Victor Osimhen moves to Chelsea. McTominay, who is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, is seeking a fresh start in Italy. United are looking to sell him in this transfer window to raise funds for a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
