Multiple reports now confirm that Albert Gudmundsson will transfer to Fiorentina from Genoa this Friday, which could pave the way for Nico Gonzalez to move to Juventus.

The Serie A transfer market is poised for significant activity in the next 24 hours, just as the 2024-25 season kicks off this weekend.

Gudmundsson’s move had been on hold until Genoa secured a replacement, but they are now optimistic about bringing in Andrea Pinamonti on loan from Sassuolo for €2m, with a buy option set at €14m.

Sportitalia notes that while Wolves have rejected a loan offer for Fabio Silva, discussions are expected to continue.

Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia also report that Genoa have approved Gudmundsson’s transfer to Fiorentina on Friday. The deal is anticipated to be an €8m loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for an additional €17m, plus €3.5m in add-ons. This could bring the total cost to €28.5m, slightly under the €30m asking price, although Sportitalia suggests a total closer to €25m.

Once Gudmundsson’s transfer is finalized, Fiorentina will be able to release Nico Gonzalez to Juventus under a similar arrangement, involving a loan with an obligation to purchase for a total of around €30m.
