John Textor, co-owner of Crystal Palace, is making a renewed effort to purchase Everton as he seeks to divest his shares in the London club. Frustrated with his inability to gain majority control at Selhurst Park, Textor has aligned with new allies and engaged in talks with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri.

Despite being overlooked in previous bids, the American billionaire is determined to acquire a Premier League club he can fully control. Textor’s previous interest in Everton, which was disrupted by the Friedkin Group’s withdrawal and 777 Partners’ failed takeover, has reignited. He has reconnected with key Everton figures, aware of the club’s financial challenges from his prior bid.

Textor, who owns a 45% stake in Crystal Palace through Eagle Football Holdings, is optimistic about resolving ownership issues with the Premier League if successful in his bid. As part of his strategy, Textor has enlisted Raine Group to find a buyer for his Palace shares, valuing them at £90 million.
