Juventus are reportedly plotting a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, as the Italian giants seek a new shot-stopper. Kelleher, 25, impressed during Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the United States, notably shutting out Manchester United in a 3-0 victory. He stepped up last season, deputizing for the injured Alisson Becker, and now Juventus has been monitoring his progress.

With two years left on his current Anfield contract, Liverpool is expected to demand at least £30 million for the Irish international. Juventus are reportedly willing to meet this valuation, viewing Kelleher as a long-term investment who could serve as their number one for at least five years.  While Celtic had shown interest in Kelleher last season, they opted to sign Kasper Schmeichel on a free transfer instead.

Kelleher, who has 14 caps for Ireland, is said to be open to a move, especially with limited prospects of becoming Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper behind Alisson. Liverpool, who have yet to make any first-team additions this summer, are also interested in signing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, although the deal is complicated by a £51.7 million release clause.
