Real Madrid and Portugal legend Pepe has officially announced his retirement from football at the age of 41, concluding a remarkable 22-year career. Pepe, renowned for his defensive prowess, accumulated an impressive collection of accolades, including three Champions League titles, three La Liga titles, and a European Championship with Portugal.

Starting his professional journey with Marítimo in 2002, he quickly rose to prominence at Porto before joining Real Madrid in 2007, where he made 334 appearances over a decade. After a brief stint at Beşiktaş, Pepe returned to Porto to conclude his playing days. He also earned 141 caps for Portugal and became the oldest player to participate in Euro 2024.
