Victor Osimhen was anticipated to be at least on Napoli’s bench for today’s friendly against Girona, but once again, he is absent from the squad. Meanwhile, Jens Cajuste has declined a move to Galatasaray.
As Napoli continues their pre-season with this evening’s match against the Spanish team, there were expectations that Osimhen might make his first appearance of the summer from the bench. However, for the fourth consecutive game, he is missing from the lineup.
Osimhen is currently awaiting a transfer. The Nigerian forward has been training consistently, so his absence isn’t due to injury. Napoli are aware they can’t sign new players until Osimhen is sold.
Reports suggest Arsenal might submit a new bid, with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea also showing interest in the former Capocannoniere.
In other news, Corriere dello Sport reports that midfielder Cajuste has turned down an offer from Galatasaray, and Napoli is now looking to place him with a Premier League club.
