Araujo’s recent injury, which is expected to keep him out of the season’s opening games, has led Barcelona to consider not registering him for the first half of the campaign. This decision has upset Araujo, who is now contemplating leaving the club this summer, according to SPORT.

Araujo’s frustration extends beyond the registration issue. He is also dismayed that Barcelona did not support him after his red card against Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League quarter-final in April. Additionally, he had a public disagreement with teammate Ilkay Gundogan over the criticism he faced.

In recent months, Bayern Munich has shown strong interest in Araujo, and Manchester United and Chelsea also explored a potential transfer during the winter, although Araujo rejected those talks and affirmed his commitment to Barcelona at that time.

With his contract expiring in 2026, sporting director Deco is reportedly inclined to sell Araujo if a new agreement cannot be reached. Although a contract renewal is still on the table, Araujo is not convinced by the proposed financial terms. His injury has significantly dampened interest from other clubs, leaving his future uncertain for now.
