Manchester United legend Nani has returned to his roots by joining his hometown club, Estrela da Amadora. The 37-year-old winger, who was a free agent after leaving Turkish side Adana Demirspor in May, has signed a one-year deal with the Portuguese club. This move marks his return to Portugal and will be the tenth different club of his career.

Nani, born in Amadora, gained prominence with Sporting Lisbon before his successful stint at Manchester United, where he won four Premier League titles, a Champions League, two League Cups, and a Club World Cup. Estrela da Amadora finished 14th in the Primeira Liga last season. The club expressed pride in Nani’s return, highlighting his contribution to both football and his community.

In addition to his new role at Estrela, Nani will continue his involvement with SU Sintrense, a fourth-division team he co-owns. His career has spanned various countries, including Spain, Italy, the USA, and Australia.
