Antonio Conte’s Napoli is preparing to submit a revised offer to Brighton & Hove Albion for Billy Gilmour, reportedly valued at €12 million plus bonuses, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The initial bid of approximately €9.5 million was swiftly rejected by the Premier League club last week.

Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio asserts that the new proposal will be increased to €12 million with additional performance-related bonuses.

It remains uncertain whether this offer will persuade Brighton to part with the 23-year-old Scotland international.

Napoli is also faced with the challenge of creating space in their squad, potentially by offloading either Jens Cajuste or Gianluca Gaetano. Gaetano, following his loan stint at Cagliari, appears more likely to move on.

Gilmour, who recently turned 23, has already earned 30 senior caps for Scotland and is participating in their EURO 2024 campaign.

A product of Glasgow Rangers and Chelsea’s youth academies, he also had a loan spell at Norwich before his €8.3 million transfer to Brighton in September 2022.
