Douglas Luiz has officially joined his Juventus teammates at Continassa following a final transfer from Aston Villa.

The 26-year-old midfielder completed his move to the Bianconeri at the beginning of this month in a transfer deal valued at approximately €50 million. This includes a fixed fee of €25 million and the addition of youth players Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea, whose combined value is also €25 million.

Luiz has signed a five-year contract with Juventus, earning about €5 million net per season plus bonuses. His arrival in Turin was postponed due to his participation in the Copa America and a subsequent vacation.

According to today’s Corriere dello Sport, Luiz arrived in Turin on Monday evening and visited Juventus’ training facility today. He underwent medical examinations before meeting fans, signing autographs, and taking selfies.

Now, Luiz is eager to start training with Thiago Motta and his new Juventus teammates, and is looking forward to forming a strong partnership with fellow new recruit Khephren Thuram.
