Barcelona, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich have shown significant interest in Dani Olmo this summer. Despite this, RB Leipzig has maintained their position, initially setting Olmo’s release clause at €60 million (£50.6m/$65m), which has since expired, requiring clubs to negotiate directly with Leipzig.

Olmo played a crucial role for Spain in their Euro 2024 victory, stepping up after Pedri’s injury in the quarter-final against Germany, which increased interest in the 26-year-old forward. RB Leipzig CEO Johann Plenge has indicated the club is open to selling Olmo but only for the right price.

Plenge told kicker, “Dani is highly regarded and remains our player. He had a strong European Championship, attracting attention from top clubs. Transfers are a part of our business, but we won’t sell any player for less than their value. We are not under pressure to sell and will only consider offers that meet our expectations.”

Barcelona remains the most likely destination for Olmo, valuing their La Masia graduate highly. However, they are currently assessing Nico Williams’ situation before making a move for Olmo.
