Ex-England youth ace John Bostock once offered a ten-year contract with Barcelona, has joined National League side Solihull Moors, marking the 16th club in his 17-year career. Released by League Two side Notts County at the end of last season, Bostock made 66 appearances over two seasons at Meadow Lane, helping the Magpies to promotion from the National League in 2023.

Upon joining Solihull, Bostock said, “The club has come quite far very quickly and last year they came so close to taking the next step.” Bostock first gained attention at 14 with Crystal Palace, eventually turning down a decade-long offer from Barcelona to continue his development in London.

After a tribunal-decided move to Tottenham in 2008, he never played in the Premier League, instead going on loan to multiple clubs. His career includes stints at Royal Antwerp, Leuven, Lens, Bursaspor, Toulouse, Nottingham Forest, Doncaster, and most recently Notts County. Notably, he scored at Wembley to help Notts County secure promotion but was also left embarrassed by a botched Panenka in the shootout.
