Harry Maguire faced a challenging 2023-24 season marred by injuries, limiting him to just 22 Premier League appearances. Despite this, the centre-back demonstrated glimpses of regaining his peak form towards the end of the season and is eager to build on that momentum in the upcoming campaign.

In a recent Sky Sports interview, Maguire emphasized that the club has confirmed his role and addressed any concerns about his dedication. “Unless the club tell me I’m up for sale or I’m not wanted there anymore,” Maguire stated.

He added, “Everything I’ve heard and the action I’ve been shown from the club, I’m part of the future and it is time to crack on and make this club successful again, challenging for the big trophies.”

Maguire’s season was further complicated by a muscle injury late in the year, which not only kept him out of the FA Cup final but also excluded him from Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024. Reflecting on the past few months, he described them as the most challenging of his career.

“It was a real tough moment in my career. It was probably the toughest moment in my career to date,” said Maguire.

Now, Maguire has joined the United squad in the United States for pre-season and will have the opportunity to impress Erik ten Hag in their upcoming match against Arsenal at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday.
