Reports from France indicate that FC Nantes have turned down an initial offer from Inter Milan for their talented defender, Nathan Zeze.
Inter have been relatively inactive in the early days of the summer transfer window, with their only expenditure being on Genoa’s Josep Martinez, while veterans Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi joined on free transfers.
Despite strong links to Albert Gudmundsson in recent months, Inter have yet to finalize a deal and recently saw their pursuit of Venezia’s Tanner Tessmann fall through. No major player sales have occurred, though Valentin Carboni has been rumored to be on the move.
According to Ouest France, Inter made a bid of approximately €12-13 million, including add-ons, for the 19-year-old Zeze. However, Nantes have firmly rejected the offer. Negotiations may continue in the near future.
Zeze, a promising centre-back, made his first-team debut last season, amassing 1022 minutes of play in Ligue 1, and is under contract with Nantes until June 2028.
