The United States international, who captained his team at the 2024 Copa America, made a bold career move by leaving Chelsea for AC Milan in the summer of 2023. This decision proved fruitful as he enjoyed a successful debut season in Italy.
Pulisic achieved a personal best with 15 goals last season, primarily playing on the right wing. Loftus-Cheek praised the 25-year-old’s contribution to AC Milan, saying, “I think he’s a leader in the fact that he leads by example on the pitch. He had a fantastic season and we can only hope it gets better. It’s a pleasure to play with Christian and to see his growth as well… He’s just nice to be around, he doesn’t want all the attention off the pitch, and he’s quite a calm guy. It’s nice to be around a person who is what you want in a good friend.”
Loftus-Cheek, who also played with Pulisic at Chelsea, spoke about their strong bond on and off the field: “When Christian joined Chelsea, we connected immediately. He’s a genuine, kind, and talkative person, very easy to get along with. When he told me he was joining AC Milan after my transfer, I was excited because he’s a top player.”
Pulisic is currently in the United States after a disappointing Copa America campaign and will soon reunite with Loftus-Cheek and the rest of his AC Milan teammates as they prepare for friendly matches against Manchester City, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.
