Cesc Fabregas has officially been named Como’s manager after completing his coaching badges. The 37-year-old Arsenal and Chelsea legend played a pivotal role in helping Como return to Serie A last season after a 21-year absence. Initially serving as caretaker manager, Fabregas then became No. 2 while completing his coaching education.

Now, with his badges in hand, he has signed a four-year contract to lead the team in the top flight. Highly regarded Welsh coach Osian Roberts, who had been the head coach with Fabregas’ support, will return to his role as head of development. Fabregas expressed his excitement, stating, “I am so happy to be starting this season as head coach and I thank the ownership group for trusting me with this position.”

Mirwan Suwarso, representative of the ownership group, praised Fabregas’ impact, saying, “The impact of his knowledge, experience, and passion is already evident in the success of last season and the evolution of our playing style.” Como, owned by the Hartono brothers, are targeting big players to strengthen their squad. They are negotiating with Raphael Varane and Pau Lopez and have already signed Pepe Reina and Alberto Moreno.
