The Three Lions have once again reached the final of the European Championship, their second in recent years following a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss to Italy three years ago. This time, they are set to face Spain in Berlin on Sunday, with a chance to secure major silverware.

England’s record goal-scorer Kane, often scrutinized for his contributions, enters his second final with three goals to his name. This tally puts him on par with Spain’s Dani Olmo, Cody Gakpo of the Netherlands, Jamal Musiala of host nation Germany, Georgia’s Georges Mikautadze, and Slovakia’s Ivan Schranz.

Initially, UEFA indicated that in the event of a tie, the Golden Boot winner would be decided by assists and then minutes played, placing Olmo in pole position. However, European football’s governing body has now announced that the prestigious award will be shared among those with the highest goal count.

Currently, six players are vying for the title, with Jude Bellingham and Fabian Ruiz of Spain just one goal away from joining the leaders. Any additional goals would propel them to the forefront, while both Kane and Olmo remain focused on claiming the Euro 2024 Golden Boot outright, ideally as part of a victorious team effort.
