Tottenham is closely monitoring Marcus Vinnicius, the latest Brazilian talent from Palmeiras. The Sao Paulo-based club has become renowned for producing top talents, recently selling Endrick to Real Madrid for up to £50m, Luis Guilherme to West Ham for £25m, and Estevao Willian to Chelsea for £47m.

Now, 17-year-old left-back Vinnicius, who can also play as a winger, has caught Spurs’ attention. Wolves, Newcastle, and Benfica are also interested in the wonderkid. Vinnicius is set to sign his first professional contract with Palmeiras this summer, lasting until June 2026, with an extension until 2029 already proposed.

The sales of Endrick, Guilherme, and Estevao have netted Palmeiras over £120m, and the club views Vinnicius as another potential big money-maker. His contract is expected to include an £85m release clause, though Palmeiras is open to negotiations with European clubs. Scouts from several European teams watched him in a recent tournament in Ecuador, which Palmeiras won.

Palmeiras youth director Joao Paulo Sampaio, who also discovered Endrick, Guilherme, and Estevao, played a crucial role in bringing Vinnicius to the club in 2022, despite strong interest from Flamengo, Internacional, and Atletico Mineiro. Spurs, focusing on young talents, have already signed 18-year-old midfielders Archie Gray from Leeds and Lucas Bergvall from Djurgarden.
