Dani Olmo’s £55 million release clause has been extended by five days due to Spain’s progress to the Euros final. The RB Leipzig star, who scored in all three of La Roja’s knockout games, is attracting interest from top clubs including Manchester United and Liverpool.

Initially set to expire on Monday, Olmo’s release clause now extends until next week due to Spain reaching Sunday’s final. Manchester City showed interest last summer but chose to sign Jeremy Doku instead. Now, Liverpool and United are in the mix, alongside Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Olmo, 26, prefers playing as a No. 10 but is versatile, capable of performing on both flanks. He spent seven years in Barcelona’s academy before moving to Dinamo Zagreb at 16, where he won five titles in six years and scored 34 goals in 124 games.

RB Leipzig acquired him for £21 million in 2019, and he has since netted 29 times in 148 outings, winning three domestic cups. His Euro performances have been a standout, especially after starting Spain’s 2-1 semi-final win over France due to Pedri’s injury. Olmo now contends with England’s Harry Kane for the Euro Golden Boot, both tied at three goals.
