The 27-year-old midfielder moves to Spain for a fixed fee of just over £40,000, with potential add-ons raising the total to around £13 million. This marks the end of his challenging stint at Old Trafford, where he arrived four years ago for £40 million.
Van de Beek signed a contract with Girona until 2028 and expressed his gratitude to Manchester United and its supporters.
