A video surfaced on social media featuring Brazil international Antony singing alongside a guitarist. A fan account shared the clip, captioning it with, “What can’t Antony do?” and adding a laughing-crying emoji.
This question prompted mocking and sarcastic responses from United supporters, many of whom simply answered, “Play football.”
Antony had a lacklustre season at United, scoring just one Premier League goal as the club finished eighth. The Red Devils are reportedly ready to let him go in the summer transfer window, even accepting a much lower fee than the £86 million ($109m) they initially paid.
Antony has returned to training with United this week as preparations for the next season begin. However, his time at Old Trafford may be nearing its end, with Erik ten Hag’s team reportedly keen to offload him.
