After completing his loan spell, the forward returned to Carrington on Monday but did not participate in United’s pre-season training. According to The Athletic, Greenwood visited the training center to continue negotiations regarding his departure from Old Trafford. He had a positive discussion with the club’s football leadership team about continuing his career elsewhere. Following this meeting, the 22-year-old left Carrington without joining his Manchester United teammates on the training pitch.

Reports indicate that Greenwood is attracting interest from French side Marseille and Serie A’s Lazio for a permanent move, following Getafe’s early withdrawal from negotiations due to Manchester United’s asking price.
