The Saudi Pro League club has reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Manchester City’s star goalkeeper Ederson, as they seek a new first-choice goalkeeper. However, sources indicate that they have identified another Brazilian international as their primary target.
According to TEAMtalk, Al-Nassr is keen to entice Alisson away from Liverpool, despite City setting a hefty €50 million (£42m/$54m) price tag for 30-year-old Ederson. Alisson, who is a year older than Ederson, is also under contract at Anfield until 2027, suggesting a similar high valuation. Al-Nassr remains hopeful of negotiating a more favorable deal.
Earlier reports in June hinted at Al-Nassr preparing a substantial contract offer for Alisson, which is now ready to be presented. With Brazil’s completion of the 2024 Copa America, transfer discussions can now intensify. While Alisson has previously expressed a reluctance to depart European football at this stage of his career, Al-Nassr is keen to assess if his stance has changed, determining their focus on which Brazilian goalkeeper to pursue.
