After Arsenal’s narrow miss of the Premier League title last season, Martin Odegaard stood on the Emirates Stadium pitch, his disappointment palpable despite their 2-1 win over Everton. Speaking to fans, he expressed pride in Arsenal’s efforts, though the pain of falling short lingered.

Now in Marbella for pre-season training, Odegaard sees that disappointment as fuel for the upcoming campaign. Reflecting on their close brush with glory, he remains determined, believing it will drive them towards winning silverware.

“When you come so close, you can feel it, taste it,” Odegaard shared. “After the game, the trophy was almost within reach. It’s motivating us to return stronger this year.”

He emphasized how setbacks strengthen resolve: “Discussing last season’s disappointment shows our progress and ambition. Winning is our focus; it drives us daily to improve.”

Looking ahead, Arsenal, under Arteta’s leadership, aims to surpass Manchester City. Odegaard acknowledges their youth but believes experience gained will benefit them in the title race.

“I feel more prepared and responsible,” he said. “As we prepare in Marbella and look forward to the U.S. tour, we’re focused on starting the season strong.”

Despite ongoing transfer speculation, Odegaard trusts in the squad’s quality and unity: “I’m happy with our team. Mikel and Edu handle transfers, and I’m excited to see what we achieve together.”

Arsenal prepares for a challenging season, eager to build on their recent successes and strengthen their squad where needed.
