According to La Stampa, Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo has been proposed to Juventus and Inter, as Pep Guardiola is reportedly unwilling to retain the Portuguese defender at the club.
La Stampa reports that Cancelo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has offered the former Inter and Juventus player back to his former clubs.
Manchester City is seeking approximately €25 million for Cancelo, who is said to be willing to reduce his salary to facilitate a return to Serie A and compete in the Champions League next season.
Cancelo, who represented Inter during the 2018-19 season before joining Juventus the following summer, moved to Manchester City in a swap deal involving Brazilian defender Danilo in 2019.
During his tenure at the Etihad Stadium, Cancelo experienced both highs and lows, including loan spells at Bayern Munich and Barcelona over the past 18 months.
At 30 years old, Cancelo’s contract with Manchester City runs until June 2027. He has already appeared in 51 Serie A matches, scoring two goals and providing six assists.
