Gordon, who impressed as a substitute in the goalless draw against Slovenia, may have confused his brakes, leading to the fall. Defender Ezri Konsa, 26, witnessed the accident and initially laughed at the sight of Gordon bleeding. Konsa explained the likely cause: “I think he pressed the wrong brake because back in England the brakes are on different sides.”
