Milan’s negotiations for Josua Zirkzee are stalling, prompting Roma to reportedly offer Tammy Abraham to the Rossoneri, according to Tuttosport newspaper.

Following Olivier Giroud’s departure, Milan are in search of a new center forward, with Zirkzee from Bologna emerging as their primary target. However, talks have hit an impasse as Milan is hesitant to pay a €15 million agent fee to Kia Joorabchian, despite being prepared to meet Zirkzee’s €40 million release clause.

Tuttosport’s Saturday edition, on page 29, suggests Roma has proposed Abraham as a potential solution. The English striker, who is not part of Daniele De Rossi’s plans for the 2024-25 season, is available for €25 million, making him a more economical option compared to Zirkzee. Additionally, Abraham’s salary of €4.5 million per season would reportedly be manageable under the Growth Decree, which was applicable when he joined Serie A in 2021.

Abraham could also reunite with his former Chelsea teammate Fikayo Tomori at San Siro, although he has been limited to just 321 minutes of play in the 2023-24 season due to a cruciate ligament injury suffered last year, scoring one goal.
