According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have initiated a fresh effort to secure Youssouf Fofana, the French midfielder, amidst strong competition, making negotiations ‘challenging’ for the Rossoneri.

Milan are actively monitoring Monaco’s Fofana, with journalist Luca Bianchin stating that the Serie A powerhouse has recently made a renewed attempt to acquire the 25-year-old.

However, negotiations are proving difficult for Milan, as Bianchin notes significant interest from other clubs, including Juventus, their Serie A rivals, in the talented midfielder.

Bianchin adds that Atletico Madrid and more than one Premier League club are also keen on Fofana, and Milan intends to reach a decision on his acquisition by next month.

With the recent appointment of Paulo Fonseca as head coach, Milan is also in the market for a new striker, two defenders – notably a center-back – and a defensive midfielder.

Additionally, discussions have reportedly begun for the potential signing of Italy international Emerson Palmieri.
