The five-time Ballon d’Or recipient enters the tournament following a 50-goal season in Saudi Arabia, where he broke multiple records. At 39, he has extended his record for international caps and goals to 207 and 130, respectively. In Portugal’s final warm-up match for Euro 2024 against Ireland, the superstar scored twice.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United icon, who led Portugal to their first major international trophy at Euro 2016, is determined to capture the title once more in what could be his final appearance in the competition.
