The Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen, is rumored to be leaving Napoli this summer, attracting interest from top clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and PSG. However, Corriere dello Sport reports that Osimhen is more likely to join a Premier League team.
According to the report, Osimhen is not keen on a move to the French league, as he does not see Ligue 1 as a compelling option. Instead, he views the Premier League as his dream destination, putting Arsenal and Chelsea in the lead to secure his transfer for the 2024/25 season.
The 25-year-old, who clinched the Golden Boot in the 2022/23 season, renewed his contract with Napoli in December last year. This new contract includes a release clause ranging between €120-€130 million (£101-£109 million/$128-$139 million).
Napoli is in no hurry to part with their star striker and is unlikely to sell unless a club meets his release clause. Recently, Osimhen missed Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin due to injury.
