England football star Trent Alexander-Arnold faces scrutiny after constructing a £50,000 padel tennis court in his garden without obtaining planning permission.

The Liverpool defender, expected to play a pivotal role in England’s Euro 2024 campaign, may be required to dismantle the court amid concerns that noisy activities could prompt complaints from neighbours.

There are also worries about the environmental impact of the unauthorized construction in the countryside.

Alexander-Arnold, who is romantically linked with Iris Law, daughter of actor Jude Law, purchased the £5 million, five-bedroom mansion in Cheshire from former Manchester City player Raheem Sterling in 2022.

The luxurious five-acre estate already features amenities such as a swimming pool, cinema, games room, bar, wildlife pond, and paddock.
