Additionally, City is prepared to significantly increase Guardiola’s current £20 million-a-year ($25.3 million) salary.
There is an internal belief at the club that if Guardiola decides to leave the Etihad, their Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, might also depart. However, Sheikh Mansour and CEO Khaldoon Al Mubarak are committed to doing everything possible to retain both.
