Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, 51, has landed a new job three years after being sacked by Manchester United. The former United manager will provide technical evaluation for Uefa during Euro 2024. He began his duties during Germany’s 5-1 win over Scotland at the Allianz Arena on Friday.

Solskjaer’s role involves analyzing coaching trends and compiling a comprehensive report on the evolution of coaching throughout the tournament. This report will be released by Uefa after the competition concludes, offering insights into how the game, especially coaching, is changing. Earlier this month, Solskjaer was rumored to be making a managerial comeback, with potential moves to Turkish side Besiktas or Leicester City.

Despite leaving Old Trafford, Solskjaer has expressed his desire to return to football management, stating on the Overlap Stick to Football podcast, “I’ve got at least one club job in me… I want to feel that pressure again.”Solskjaer spent two-and-a-half years managing Manchester United and received nearly £7.5 million in compensation upon his departure.
